Scope:
This specification covers multiconductor cables having TFN or THHN/THWN (PVC/Nylon) conductors with an overall flame-retardant ,sunlight resistant,gas/vapor-tight polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket, conforming to Standard 1277 of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. They meet the requirements of the FT4 flame test. Rated 600 volts, 90°C dry ,75°C wet. UL file No. E305939.
Conductors: Bare, soft annealed copper.
Sizes 18 and 16 AWG(TFN): Bunch stranded. Size 18(7/0.39mm)and 16(7/0.49mm)per UL66.
Sizes 14AWG-250kcmil(THHN/THWN): Concentric stranded, Class B per ASTM B8 and UL83.
Insulation: Flame retardant PVC.Thickness:18 and 16AWG per UL66,14AWG-250kcmil per UL83.
Color coding:
(1) TC control cable(10AWG and below):Identified by color and code,see Table 1.
(2) TC power cable(8AWG and up): Identified by color and code, see Table 2.
Conductor Jacket: Nylon.Thickness: 18 and 16AWG per UL66,14AWG-250kcmil per UL83.
Cabling: Three or more conductors are assembled without fillers.A rip cord is inserted under the jacket for ease of stripping.
Overall Jacket : Flame-retardant ,sunlight resistant ,gas/vapor-tight PVC jacket .Thickness: per UL1277 .
Information on the cable: AWG or kcmil size, type letters, temperature, rated voltage, the name of the manufacturer, UL file number, characteristic, FEET.
