Scope:
This specification covers type XHHW/XHHW-2 cable with soft annealed copper solid or stranded conductor,heat and moisture resistant XLPE insulation , conforming to Standard 44 of Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. UL file No. E202443.
Application:
Type XHHW/XHHW-2 is suitable for various commercial and industrial applications. These cables may be installed in wet or dry locations , indoors or outdoors ,in raceways ,underground ducts. XHHW is rated at a conductor temperature of 75℃ wet and 90℃ dry, XHHW-2 is rated at a conductor temperature of 90℃ wet or dry. They are permitted for 600V application.
Construction
Conductors: Soft annealed copper, bare or tinned. Sizes 14AWG-2000kcmil: Solid or stranded.
Insulation: XLPE. Thickness: per UL44. A Polyester film as a separator between the conductor and the insulation is optional.
